SENCo+

We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and experienced teacher to join our able and committed team.

Following the promotion of one of our year leaders to Deputy Head Teacher at another school and the departure of our well-respected Pupil Premium Champion, we are excited about the creation of a new role that combines some vital areas of the school: SENCo, Pupil Premium and leader of support for children with Additional and Different Needs. The role will be offered on a one-year temporary contract in the first instance and would suit an experienced teacher looking for a new opportunity.

Due to tight timescales and recent developments at CKJS, we are advertising this post for one week only with the aim of recruiting by the end of May ready for a September appointment.

We are looking for a SENCo+ who:

  • is an experienced and highly able teacher
  • is passionate about inclusion and providing exceptional learning experiences for all children
  • already has, or wishes to gain, SEND qualification
  • is committed to equality of experience and maximising life-chances
  • is extremely personable: able to relate to parents, children and the wider community

We offer:

  • a highly supportive team of leaders, teachers and teaching assistants
  • genuine opportunity for professional growth and strategic influence
  • a chance to influence a new role within the school
  • wonderful children and families

Applicants are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school prior to submitting their application. If you wish to make an appointment, please email Mrs Ferchow, School Business Manager, in the first instance at sbm@ckjs.org.uk

Please download the application form, job description and welcome letter from here.

Applications should be returned by 12pm on Tuesday 22nd May 2018.

Interviews will take place on Thursday 24th May 2018.
